Groupe Renault UK has revealed three new online services which makes the new car buying process easier and more convenient than ever before. The trio of tools mean that potential customers can still browse and go through the entire purchase process at a time when they are unable to visit their dealership, and beyond.

One of these services is the new Virtual Showroom platform, which allows customers to be guided around selected Renault and Dacia vehicles from the comfort of their own sofa.

When visiting renault.co.uk and dacia.co.uk, customers will be invited to view a particular model in a live virtual tour with the help of a dedicated guru, able to introduce a static vehicle and conduct a detailed walkaround of their chosen vehicle.

The Virtual Showroom arrives alongside the Dacia Buy Online system, which allows customers to complete the full buying journey – including finance approval – from home, as well as Renault and Dacia’s new Remote eSign portal, which enables the buyer to complete and sign finance documents remotely.

Real cars available to view online in detail
The Renault and Dacia gurus have real cars on hand so buyers can see exactly what they are like without the need to leave the safety and comfort of their home. The models available to view online from the Renault range are the All-New Clio, All-New Captur, Kadjar and New ZOE, while the award-winning Sandero and Duster models are available from the Dacia range.

If the customer has any questions for the gurus, it can all be dealt with there and then, just like being shown around a new car in a physical showroom. All of the features of each car can be fully explained, from guiding through the advanced Easy Link infotainment system of All-New Clio to how to put the zero-emissions-in-use New ZOE on charge, or slide the rear seats of the practical All-New Captur.

A range of useful and real-life props are also on hand that will enable potential buyers to see just how much fits in the boot of a particular car, for instance, to see how a car adapts to life’s challenges, be it golf clubs or a push chair in the boot, or general items that can fit into a car’s stowage areas.

The Renault and Dacia Virtual Showroom is open from midday to 8pm Monday to Sunday, at the most convenient times when buyers are most likely to be browsing for a new vehicle online.

If, when visiting the website, a guru is busy with another customer, a slot can simply be booked for a later time when convenient for the customer so they can go about their day as normal without having to join a queue.

The demonstrations are all taking place in a dedicated facility with limited staff who are following stringent measures and processes that go above and beyond the official requirements of staying safe with regards to hygiene, personal protection and social distancing.

Buying journey continues
Following a comprehensive tour around one of Renault and Dacia’s award-winning models, customers then have the opportunity to register their interest for further information or receive a brochure, to continue researching their new vehicle.

In the case of Dacia, customers could then complete the whole buying process via the Dacia Buy Online system, and look forward to delivery of their new vehicle shortly after dealerships reopen.

Dacia Buy Online
The Dacia Buy Online system allow potential customers to complete the full new car buying journey online anywhere at any time.

Available on all Dacia models, the online shopping portal features four simple steps to complete the purchase process – including choosing a model, budget and also payment type.

Customers can also be approved for finance as part of this, if that’s their chosen method of payment, there and then before choosing to Click and Collect or a Home Delivery service, which is available free of charge until 30th June 2020 and will be completed as soon as the dealership reopens.

Remote eSign introduced
Making the buying journey even easier is the introduction of a new Remote eSign portal. This system allows new Renault and Dacia customers to sign finance documents remotely without the need to visit a showroom.

Available to customers purchasing via Hire Purchase (HP), Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) and Contract Hire (CH), the system works simply by new car owners receiving a unique link sent from their dealership, taking them to a secure user-friendly online portal. All finance paperwork is then carried out digitally without customers needing to leave their homes, with simple verification via a driving licence check and photograph before signing.

From here, if customers have any further questions or queries, a separate customer portal is then available, as well as the dealership selling the car.

With Dacia Buy Online and Remote eSign portal, Renault and Dacia new car customers have the comfort of completing vital parts of the new car buying process in their own time and in familiar, comfortable surroundings, making it easier than ever.
