Groupe Renault announces appointments in Regions

In order to accelerate the Group transformation, boost the profitability of operations and develop growth in new markets, Groupe Renault announces the following appointments in its Regions.

As of April 1, 2019:

  • Philippe Buros, currently SVP Market Area France, is appointed chairman of the Europe Region. He reports to Olivier Murguet, EVP, Sales and Regions. Philippe Buros is a member of the Renault Management Committee.
  • Ivan Segal, currently managing director of the Renault Iberia Cluster, is appointed SVP Market Area France. He answers to Philippe Buros and becomes a member of the Renault Management Committee.

To develop growth in China and better meet customers’ needs in this key market as part of the Drive The Future strategic plan, Groupe Renault is creating a China Region:

  • François Provost is appointed SVP, chairman of the China Region. He reports to Olivier Murguet, EVP Sales and Regions. François Provost is a member of the Renault Management Committee.
  • Korea, Japan, ASEAN countries and Australia are grouped in the Africa-Middle-East-India (AMI) - Pacific Region, of which Fabrice Cambolive is SVP and chairman.

Born in 1961, Philippe Buros graduated from Nice University with a Masters degree in management before joining Renault DIAC where he filled a variety of roles in Sales and Marketing from 1985, until becoming the Regional Manager for Lyon in 1992. In 1999, he was named Managing Director of DIAC Location/Overlease before being appointed Deputy Managing Director of Renault Parc Entreprises in 2001. He then assumed the position of Managing Director of RCI Romania from 2006. On 1 June 2010, he became the Sales and Marketing Director of RCI Banque. In September 2014, Philippe Buros is appointed Senior Vice President, Market Area France. He is a member of the Renault Management Committee. As of April 1, 2019, Philippe Buros is appointed Senior Vice President, Chairman of the Europe region.

Born in 1971 in Reims, Ivan Segal graduated from the EDHEC business school in Lille in 1995. He began his career in 1995 with the PSA group in Germany as a marketing manager for the Citroën brand. In 1997, he became sales and export area zone manager for Citroën, supervising importers in Israel, West Africa and the Indian Ocean region. He participated in the launch of the Citroën brand in South Africa. Ivan Segal then took charge of a number of international Citroën distribution subsidiaries as general manager: 2001-2004 Slovakia, 2004-2006 Poland, 2006-2008 Belgium, 2009-2001 Brazil, 2011-2013 Latin America. In 2013, Ivan Segal became sales and network development director at Volkswagen do Brasil. In March 2016, he joined Groupe Renault as managing director of the Iberia Cluster. As of April 1, 2019, Ivan Segal becomes SVP Market Area France and a member of the Renault Management Committee.

Born in 1968, François Provost graduated from the “Ecole Polytechnique” and “Ecole des Mines de Paris” engineering schools in Paris. He started his career as senior civil servant in the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, Treasury Department. He then became Member of Staff and Advisor to the French Minister of Defense. He joined Renault in 2002 in the Sales & Marketing Division in France as branch General Manager, then regional Sales Director. In 2005, he took the position of Managing Director of Renault-Nissan Portugal. From 2008 to 2010, he was the head of Renault worldwide Sales & Marketing strategy and planning. He was then appointed Chief Operating Officer of Renault Russia. In September 2011, he became CEO and Representative Director of Renault Samsung Motors.

In April 2016, François Provost became Senior Vice President, China Operations. Since 1 January 2017, François Provost has been Chairman of Asia-Pacific region and remains Senior Vice President, China Operations, of Groupe Renault. He is also CEO of DRAC (Dongfeng Renault Automotive Company). He is a member of the Renault Management Committee (CDR). He sits on the e-GT NEV Board of Directors and on the RBJAC (Renault Brilliance Jinbei Automotive Industry) Board of Directors. As of April 1, 2019, François Provost is appointed SVP, Chairman of China Region.

Born in 1967, Fabrice Cambolive graduated from ESC Business School in Toulouse, France.

He joined Groupe Renault in 1992 and assumed the first ten years in several international Sales & Marketing positions in Spain, Switzerland and France. In 2005, he was appointed Marketing Director from Renault Germany then moved in 2009 to Romania as General Manager of Renault Dacia and Nissan Commercial. In 2011, Fabrice Cambolive was appointed VP, Sales and Marketing for Russia and Eurasia region (Russia and ex-CIS countries like Kazakhstan, Byelorussia, Ukraine). In 2015, Fabrice Cambolive became CEO of Renault do Brasil and then in 1st July 2017, Fabrice Cambolive has been Senior Vice President, Chairman of the Africa-Middle-East-India (AMI) region. He is a member of the Renault Management Committee (CDR). As of April 1, 2019, Fabrice Cambolive has been appointed SVP, chairman of AMI-Pacifique.
