Day two of the Formula Renault Eurocup collective tests at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours turned to the advantage of Gabriel Aubry (Tech 1 Racing).
The 2017 Formula Renault Eurocup season offically got underway today with the first day of collective tests at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. Rookie Jarno Opmeer (MP Motorsport) posted the best time in 1:35.934.
Two weeks before the first collective tests, the Formula Renault Eurocup is assured of having 30 young and talented drivers for the 2017 season. Defending their chances on Europe’s finest circuits, they also represent nine of the most respected teams in motorsport.
With 23 races on the calendar, including Monaco as the curtain raiser for the F1 Grand Prix, the 2017 Formula Renault Eurocup season has got off to an excellent start. At the same time, the field continues to strengthen and is nearly complete.
After being the curtain raiser for the first time to the most prestigious Grand Prix in F1 last year, the Formula Renault Eurocup will return to the Principality with two races this season!
The nine teams entered in the Formula Renault Eurocup are busily preparing their campaigns and the first announcements suggest 2017 will be one of the finest seasons ever. 23 drivers have signed on with the various squads three months before the start of the season at Monza on April 22nd.
